The Ohio Ballot Board has approved language in a second amendment that would legalize marijuana use. The approval allows the group called Better for Ohio to begin collecting the 305 thousand valid petition signatures by the July 1st deadline to make the November ballot. The proposal, which is backed by Toledo businessman Ed Howard, uses most of the same language as another proposal by ResponsibleOhio, but with 40 authorized growing locations instead of ten. It does not require registration for home growers. A third legalization issue awaits certification decision by the Ohio Attorney General's office.
