Reminders About Fireworks Safety

The Consumer Product Safety Commission says 11 thousand Americans were treated at hospitals for fireworks-related injuries in 2013. Eight of them died. The State Fire Marshal's office says trick and novelty fireworks like sparklers and party poppers are legal in Ohio, but the rest are not. The agency encourages people using fireworks to exercise caution and have a water source nearby.
