POTUS Commutes Drug Sentences Of Three Ohioans

cnn.com

President Obama has commuted the drug-related prison sentences of three Ohio convicts. Shauna Barry-Scott was sentenced to 20 years in 2005. Bart Stover of Ashland was sentenced to 20 years in 2005. Kimberly Westmoreland of Columbus was sentenced to 15 years in 2004. Their sentences will now expire in November. The commutations are among 46 announced by the White House Monday as part of a broader effort to ease punishments of those the administration believes are serving more time than their crimes warranted.
