Rock Ohio Ventures will become the owner and operator of the Cincinnati and Cleveland casinos, along with the ThistleDown racino in Northeast Ohio, next year. The move ends Rock's relationship with Caesars Entertainment. Caesars, which owned 20 percent of the facilities, filed for bankruptcy protection earlier this year, citing a 25 billion dollar debt. Rock purchased the 20 percent stakes in March. All three locations will get new names, but no jobs will be lost during the transitions. Rock is owned by multi-billionaire Dan Gilbert, who also owns the NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers and Quicken Loans.
