Eight former sales executives and employees of the truck stop chain owned by Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam have been indicted on charges of cheating trucking companies out of fuel rebates. The indictment says former Pilot Flying J vice president of sales John Freeman advised staff to "Say one thing, do another," when dealing with customers to avoid being caught. Sources have told WCBE the feds have some of the executives on tape saying Haslam knew about the scheme that took place over a five-year period in which staff often promised customers one discount but gave them a different, lesser one.
