Newark City Council Tonight To Vote To Change Vicious Dog Law

Newark City Council is revisiting the city's vicious dog law. A measure scheduled for a vote tonight would no longer automatically label pit bulls or other specific breeds as vicious. Instead, a vicious dog would be defined as any that has killed or seriously injured a person without provocation. Supporters say the ordinance would bring Newark in line with state law.
