An animal rights group has released a U.S. Department of Agriculture report showing several violations at The Wilds animal sanctuary in eastern Ohio. In 2015, USDA inspectors found a lack of adequate staff at the park, some veterinarian recommendations were ignored, and elevated levels of e-coli were found in some ponds. It also says The Wilds failed to properly document animal treatment. The report also says five animals died of injuries sustained in conficts with other animals, a failure to manage animal compatibility. The USDA says The Wilds has addressed the problems. The group called People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals released the report.
