SUPCO Rules In Favor Of Former Olentangy School Board Member In Open Records Case

watchdog.org

The Ohio Supreme Court has ruled in favor of a former Olentangy Local Schools board member who says his colleagues violated open meetings laws while exchanging emails.  The ruling allows former board member Adam White to pursue a lawsuit against the district. The case stemmed from a 2012 letter to the editor that contained input from four members of the school board responding to a newspaper editorial. White claimed circulating drafts of the letter by email violated open meetings law.
