Columbus Buildings Included On State Preservation Group's List

A historic preservation group has named 16 sites in a dozen counties that are most endangered for reasons such as demolition, abandonment and neglect. Preservation Ohio's list includes the Columbus Railway Power and Light Building, the Elam Drake Farm and the original Port Columbus Terminal and Control Tower. In the Dayton area, the Dayton Arcade, the former Dayton Daily News building, the Gem City Ice Cream Building, the Sorg Opera House and the Dennison Hotel Building are also listed. Sites in northeast Ohio include the Correll House and McDowell Farmhouse in North Canton, the Stone Train Depot in Ashtabula , the Madison Freight Depot and the Sammel Lyon House in Columbia Station.
