Ohio-based retailer The Andersons is fighting a potential hostile takeover bid. A New York company, HC2 Holdings, is offering to purchase the Maumee-based retailer for nearly 1 billion dollars in cash. The retailer rejected the offer. The Andersons was approached about a buyout in January, but said the offer was too low. The owners have said they do not want to sell.
