Columbus fire officials say for the fifth time this year, children started a residential fire. The latest happened last Sunday, when officials say three children, ages 6, 7 and 8, set fire to paper on one of the beds at a unit in the Wedgewood Village Apartment complex. No injuries are reported and damage is estimated at 75 thousand dollars. The children have been referred to the city's Juvenile Fire Setters Program, which connects at-risk youth and their families with prevention, education, and intervention services. Five people have been killed this year in house fires started by children.
