A Canal Winchester man has been indicted on charges of pointing a high-powered laser at a Columbus Police helicopter, which temporarily blinded the crew. 57-year-old Earl Boorn faces charges of of interfering with the operation of an aircraft with a laser and possession of criminal tools. Boorn allegedly shined the 10 million candlepower spotlight at the helicopter on May 18 while officers were looking for a missing child.
