The Marion City School district is offering sixth- through twelfth-graders a new anti-drug program. The program features scripted lessons, practice scenarios and age-appropriate information about drug abuse. District officials hope to extend the program to elementary grades next year. Last year a batch of blue drop heroin sent 30 residents to hospitals and killed two people in a 12-day stretch.
