A panel of Ohio judges has moved to suspend Sandusky County Sheriff Kyle Overmyer, who faces nearly four-dozen criminal charges. The move was made at the request of the special prosecutor. The county Republican party will appoint an acting sheriff to fill the rest of his term if he decides not to appeal. Overmyer, who is running for re-election, is accused of improperly using sheriff's office funds and stealing drugs from police station drop boxes.
