The Richland County coroner has identified the remains of a woman whose death has been connected to an Ashland man suspected in the killings of at least three other women. A spokesperson says the body found in September is that of Candice Cunningham, who was living with Shawn Grate this past summer.
Grate told investigators he killed Cunningham in June and dumped her body near a burned-out house in Madison Township. He's already facing the death penalty for the murders of two women in Ashland County. He is a suspect in two other killings, including a death in Marion County.
