Third For-Profit College Closes

heritagecollege.edu

A for-profit vocational college with campuses in Columbus and other cities closed abruptly on Tuesday, citing financial problems and decreased demand for services. Students at the Columbus campus of Heritage College found a note taped to the door announcing the closure. It comes as some of the largest for-profit colleges have seen steep enrollment declines, growing competition and new regulations. The closures follow the shutdown of ITT Technical Institute and the American School of Technology this past summer.
