Columbus City Attorney Won't Seek Re-Election

A second elected Columbus city official says he will not seek re-election next year. 72-year-old Democratic Columbus City Attorney Rick Pfeiffer says he will retire instead. Democratic Columbus City Auditor Hugh Dorrian earlier this month said he won't run next year. Pfeffer says he has not decided if he will leave office before his term expires. Pfeiffer was appointed to succeed Janet Jackson in 2003.
