Ohio's unemployment rate was 4.9 percent in November, unchanged from October.
The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services says today the number of jobless people was 278 thousand in November, down by 2 thousand from October. Non-farm payrolls increased by 91 hundred in November to a revised 5.5 million. The state saw job gains in the construction, leisure and hospitality, and financial services sectors. The state lost jobs in the manufacturing and educational and health services sectors. The U.S. unemployment rate for November was 4.6 percent.
