Police Say Officer Who Shot Suicidal Man Acted Appropriately

The Columbus police firearms review board says a officer who shot and wounded a suicidal man in 2015 acted within division policy. The board says Jared Barsotti shot 47-year-old Jack Jolley when attempts to subdue him failed at the victim's Harland Drive home.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
