A psychiatric report released by prosecutors shows suspected serial killer Shawn Grate knew what he was doing when he allegedly killed two Ashland County women. The report indicates Grate was not insane when he allegedly killed Stacey Stanley and Elizabeth Griffith last year. But defense attorneys say they need more time for completion of their expert's evaluation of Grate. A hearing is scheduled for April 7 to determine whether Grate was sane at the time of the alleged crimes. Grate is trying to use an insanity defense in the murders. He has already been found competent to stand trial.
