Former Democratic State Representative Connie Pillich says she will run for Governor next year, joining Ohio Senate Minority Leader Joe Schiavoni and former Congresswoman Betty Sutton in seeking the party's nomination. The 56-year-old is a U.S. Air Force veteran who ran unsuccessfully for state treasurer in 2014. She says her focus will be on job creation and strengthening education.
