State officials say Ohio Department of Health director Rick Hodges is leaving that job to pursue unspecified "opportunities." The department's chief legal counsel, Lance Himes, will take over as acting director on March 31. Himes previously held that position. Hodges took over for Ted Wymyslo in 2014. A year later, he was named a defendant in the lawsuit that went to the U.S. Supreme Court, which legalized same-sex marriage.
