Grant Medical Center officials have cleared three security guards of wrongdoing for their roles in a confrontation with a man earlier this month. Hospital officials say the guards acted according to policy when they used nonlethal force against 38-year-old Shelton Adams. A video posted online shows the guards using batons and pepper spray before shoving Adams to the ground. The woman who recorded it says Adams had come outside to smoke a cigarette and did nothing wrong. The guards will undergo additional training.
