Ohio House Approves "Judy's Law"

The Ohio House has approved a bill increasing the penalties for people who intentionally disfigure someone by using an accelerant. The law is named for Judith Malinowski, the Gahanna woman who was severely burned when her fiancee doused her with fuel and set her on fire at a gas station. It extends the maximum jail sentence to six years. The measure now goes to the Ohio Senate.
