Prison Inmate Was Strangled In Transport Van In Pickaway County

Authorities say an inmate strangled in a prison system transport van died in Pickaway County on February 1. An investigation first explored whether the killing happened in two other counties. 29-year-old Casey Pigge has pleaded not guilty and awaits a July 14 hearing in the death of 61-year-old David Johnson. His body was found after the van arrived at the Ross County Correctional Institution following a trip to Columbus for medical care.
