State Tort Reform Law May Shield Maker Of Ohio State Fair Ride From Liability

kdvr.com

Attorneys for some of the victims of the fatal ride malfunction at the Ohio State Fair in July say a state law may protect the ride's maker from liability.  The 2005 tort reform measure shields manufacturers from wrongful-death claims more than ten years after a product is delivered.  The Fireball was built in 1998. One person was killed and seven others were injured.
