Columbus advocates, city officials and DACA recipients Thursday reiterated their call for Congress to agree on a legislative solution for the roughly 800,000 immigrants nationwide known as Dreamers. President Trump and congressional Democrats last week reportedly struck a deal to extend the program, but nothing has materialized. Elvis Saldias came to the U.S. at the age of 9 and currently lives in Columbus.
Saldias spoke on a conference call Thursday that included Democratic Columbus City Council member
Elizabeth Brown.
