No Answers In Disappearance Of Drugs From County Courthouse

criminalattorneycolumbus.com

Franklin County Sheriff's deputies say their investigation has failed to reveal what happened to 71 oxycodone pills that disappeared at the county courthouse last July. The pills were presented as evidence in a Whitehall man's trial and were in the jury room during deliberations.  Prosecutors say the room was left open during two breaks, but deputies say there's no evidence that any of the jurors took them. The defendant in the case, 45-year-old Phillip Edwards, was sentenced this week to 25 years in prison on drug charges.
