A former Perry County high school principal has been found guilty of failing to tell authorities a student had reported being abused by a family member. Sentencing is scheduled October 13 for former Sheridan High School Principal Chris King, who prosecutors say failed to protect the student earlier this year. A school counselor said King was told about the abuse and she notified authorities when he did not. King resigned in March.
