Man Who Killed Local Pastor Gets Life In Prison

A Columbus man convicted of beating and killing a local pastor last March has been sentenced to life in prison. Prosecutors say 43-year-old Rickey Skinner killed Joseph McDowell as he was robbing the pastor in order to obtain money to buy drugs.  McDowell had allowed Skinner and his girlfriend to live in a garage behind the pastor's Southard Drive home.
