State Sues DuPont Over C8 Releases Into Ohio River

DuPont

The Ohio Attorney General's office has filed a lawsuit against chemical giant DuPont over the company's decades-long release of C8 into the Ohio River from it's Washington Works Plant in West Virginia.

The lawsuit says DuPont released C8 despite knowing the environmental and human health risks it poses. C8 is a chemical used to make teflon. The company said it hadn't seen the Ohio lawsuit and couldn't comment.
