The families of the people killed and injured during last summer's ride accident at the Ohio State Fair this week issued statements through their attorneys criticizing a recent settlement announced by the Ohio Expositions Commission. The families say Governor John Kasich broke a promise he made last summer to investigate with transparency the Fire Ball Ride accident that killed one person and injured several others. They also say the state is not taking responsibility for the cause of the accident. By law, the state exempts itself from claims of negligence. The families say the case isn’t over.
