Records Show Many Local Retailers Fail Initial Tobacco 21 Inspections

Columbus Public Health records show 280 of the 822 tobacco retailer officials inspected for violations of the city's Tobacco 21 ordinance failed those inspections.

The law prohibts the sale of tobacco and related products to people under the age of 21. The retailers in question were given a warning, but face fines for future violations and possible license suspensions.
