A car-sharing company says it will leave the Columbus market at the end of the month.
Car2Go tells its customers not enough people are using the service. The company says it will return to the market if demand increases. The announcement comes days after Columbus City Council approved new parking codes that allow the city to designate parking spaces in some neighborhoods for another car-sharing company, Zipcar. At a public hearing on the parking code changes, Columbus assistant director for parking services Robert Ferrin said the city wants to see more transportation options for residents.
Car2Go launched in Columbus in 2013.
