CCS Officials Outline Timetable For Choosing New Superintendent
The Columbus Board of Education last night laid out a timetable to hire a new superindentent.
The board says it wants a candidate selected by the end of October and hopes to have that person in place in January. The Chicago-based search firm hired by the district told the board last night it needs to broaden its candidate pool to include retired superintendents from other states, deputy superintendents from urban districts and interim superintendents. The board's last search appeared to violate open meetings laws, according to the state auditor.
