Law Firm That Cleared Former Employee Seitz Of Sexual Misconduct Donated To His Campaign

bizjournals.com

Campaign finance filings show the Cincinnati law firm that cleared Republican State Representative Bill Seitz of a sexual harassment allegation in April gave money to his campaign during the probe.

Taft Stettinius & Hollister's PAC contributed one thousand dollars in March. Seitz worked at the firm for 36 years.  Republican Attorney General Mike DeWine's office selected the firm to conduct the review. DeWine's office says the firm cleared an internal conflict check. A watchdog group filed a grievance against the firm alleging Seitz's past employment represents a conflict.  Seitz says he had no role in the hiring and that the firm's contribution violates no relevant legal ethics rules.
