Officials at Columbus-based Thurber House have announced the finalists for the nation's top humor writing prize.
The finalists for the Thurber Prize for American Humor are Jenny Allen, author of the essay collection "Would Everybody Please Stop?"; John Hodgman, author of the collection of true stories, "Vacationland"; and Patricia Lockwood, author of "Priestdaddy." The winner will be announced on December 5.
