Ohio Man Arrested for Allegedly Trying to Join ISIS Affiliate

A Beavercreek man has been arrested at the Glenn Airport in Columbus on allegations of planning to travel to Afghanistan to train with an Islamic State group called ISIS Wilayat Khorasan. 

Federal prosecutors say 19-year-old Naser Almadaoji, an Iraqi-born U.S. citizen, with attempting to provide material support to ISIS-affiliated foreign terrorist organizations. Prosecutors say he unsuccessfully tried to join a terrorist group after traveling to Egypt and Jordan in February.
