Columbus and Cincinnati are two of 20 cities selected as winners in a climate challenge program established by Bloomberg Philanthropies.
The Bloomberg American Cities Climate Challenge is a 70 million dollar program to accelerate municipal efforts to tackle climate change and promote a sustainable future. The cities were selected because of their plans to reduce air pollution and carbon dioxide emissions. The winners will receive technical assistance and 2.5 million dollars to help them achieve their carbon-reduction goals.
