Gahanna Raises Fees To Own "Vicious" Animals

news.sky.com

Gahanna City Council has approved new rules governing vicious or dangerous animals.

The city is raising the permit fee to 750 dollars, and requires owners to increase their liability insurance to 250 thousand dollars. Measures already in place govern tethering, leashes, muzzling, and signs. Council in January will consider allowing police to quarantine dangerous animals for up to 72 hours while an alleged attack is under investigation.
