The Ohio Department of Transportation says the new Grant Avenue bridge over the I-70/71 split will open by the end of the year, a few months later than initial estimates.
Wet weather and undocumented utility infrastructure discoveries delayed the planned opening this past fall. The 50-year-old bridge closed in January as part of ODOT's work on the split. The new bridge features wider sidewalks, a bike lane, lighting and landscaping.
