Hilliard Council Says No Police Cover-Up In Heather Ernst Case

Hilliard Police

Hilliard city council this week voted to end  their review of the police investigation of the former deputy parks and recreation department director.

Council members say there was no cover-up in the Heather Ernst case.  Council began investigating how the case was handled after allegations from citizens that police failed to properly follow up on information regarding the theft of more than half a million dollars from two city pools.  Ernst pled guilty to theft in office and tampering with records.
