Columbus-based Mount Carmel Health system has settled three wrongful-death lawsuits filed against it and the intensive care doctor accused of ordering fatal painkiller doses for dozens of patients.
The family of 78-year-old Lora Stone reached a 250 thousand dollar settlement over her May 2017 death. Details of two other settlements have yet to be released. Mount Carmel fired William Husel in December. He remains under investigation.
