octf.franklincountyohio.gov

The Franklin County Coroner's office is reporting another spike in drug overdose deaths.

Officials say nine people died of apparent overdoses beetween 8 p.m. on May 14 and 6 p.m. on May 16. Tests to determine the official cause are pending, but officials suspect fentanyl is responsible. Eighty percent of overdose deaths last year were caused by fentanyl, and this year's rate is silimar.   Most overdoses are happening in the west and south sides.
