The Ohio Highway Patrol has identified the pilot killed Wednesday when his single-engine plane crashed while attempting to land at the Madison County Airport near London.
79-year-old Donald Apple of Piqua crashed into a nearby field. The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating.
