A Franklin County judge has agreed with a jury and given two life sentences to the man convicted of killing two Westerville police officers responding to a 911 hang-up call last year.

Quentin Smith was found guilty earlier this month of killing Eric Joering and Anthony Morelli. The judge Thursday handed down a life sentence for each slaying and another 26  1/2 years for related offenses.
