Seven of the nine people indicted in the alleged hazing death of Ohio University student Collin Wiant of Dublin pleaded not guilty during their arraignments this week.
The victim's parents, Wade and Kathleen Wiant, were in the courthouse this week. They say they hope the charges send a message to other fraternity members.
Collin Wiant died in 2018 while pledging with the Sigma Pi Epsilon fraternity, which has since been suspended.
