The state auditor is investigating the alleged theft of more than 17 thousand dollars from a
Worthington City Schools owned vending machine over the course of six years.
The money from the the machine at Linworth Alternative School is unaccounted for in deposit records. Officials say of an estimated 50 thousand dollars collected, only 33 thousand was paid to vendors. The administrative secretary who oversaw the funds has resigned.
