Columbus police say the woman found dead with her 2-year-old daughter and the girl's father following a January 1st house fire was stabbed to death.
Police said Friday that 42-year-old Gary Morris and 2-year-old Serina Morris died of smoke inhalation in the fire at a Retriever Road home. Investigators say 33-year-old Nerissa Distin was stabbed. Police earlier said Gary Morris died as a result of his own actions. Police still consider the mother and child homicide victims. Authorities provided no further details.
