Two former Cuyahoga County jail guards have been sentenced to jail time for beating a mentally ill inmate who was strapped to a restraint chair.
35-year-old Nicholas Evans will serve nine months in state prison and 50-year-old Timothy Dugan will serve 10 days in a county jail. They both pleaded guilty to beating Terrence Debose last year as the victim was in the midst of a mental-health crisis.
